Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - 2010

For those who have yet to know what's going on. I am going to say this the new format is intresting, as it took out the old money ladder! But for those who missed the debut of the season opener, thanks you youtuber Mecha03, we are able to show you the first episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!

Before you can view info on the new game format:

New Features:
Two Rounds of Gameplay:
  • New Millionaire - The First 10 questions are now randomized as well as all the dollar amounts are randomized. This means that you could have the hardest question equaling $100 or even the easiest question worth $25,000.
  • Classic Millionaire - The last four questions are played like the original millionaire with the money ladder, as the questions get progressively harder. The values in order are: $100,000; $250,000; $500,000; and $1 Million.
The Lifelines:
  • Ask the Audience - The long run life that has been there since the original days. This lifeline you all know allows the contestant to poll the audience to help them on a question.
  • Jump the Question - This is the newest to be added into the lifeline family. Unlike it's predecessors, a contestant is given two of these at the beginning of the game instead of one. This little lifeline allows the contestant to jump the question; however, if a contestant uses this lifeline the amount the question is worth is removed from play and not placed into the contestants bank.
  • Walk Away - This lifeline like Ask the Audience has been there since the beginning, however can only be used when a contestant has exhausted all three of the other lifelines. Starting in Season 9 this year there is a hitch to Walking Away. If a contestant likes decides to use this option during New Millionaire they will be walking way with only 1/2 of what they have banked; however, if they make it to Classic Millionaire they can walk away with the full amount.
Set Changes:
  • Contestant Area - tHot Seat is removed. And replaced with a contestant podium. This allows contestants to walk around freely on the floor if they are stumped on a question.
  • New Big Screen - In the area where they had the big screen in the background for displaying the logo, later on the timer / question value, and also Three Wiseman/Ask the Expert. That was replaced with a bigger screen to display the questions for the contestant now.
