GSN's 1 vs. 100

Thanks to Chad Mosher who posted the premiere episode of 1 vs. 100 the new GSN version on Youtube.com we are able to bring a review.

First off you can see that there have been some changes to the show. One of the major changes is that the show has dropped its $1 Million top prize and it's now $50,000. The show is now shortened from 1 hour to 30 minute broadcasts. And the mob is no longer in person on stage.

Now my opinions:
We now have a new host to the show. Move over Bob Saget (Full House) and in Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With the Stars) to host the show. It is a bit different but can't really say anything about her hosting style as it is too early to tell.

I must say that dropping the grand prize down to $50,000 might not make the game more tantalizing but, I guess since the show is no longer a mainstream network game show in the US (aka ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.) anymore then well I guess that would explain a lot on the prize drop.

Another thing is we see that the show has reverted back to the two helps rather than offering three. "Poll the Mob" & "Trust the Mob". Unfortunately GSN decided to drop "Ask the Mob". I guess since Ask the Mob might be more difficult now with the new mob setup. Amongst the changes, the Mob is now on a big screen rather than being in person on the stage. In my opinion about this, it makes the mob less intimidating for the contestants. I mean when the mob is out there on the stage you can easily read them where as with them all on web cams they can easily easily poker face it.

Now my final comment on the show. Over all I would say it's not really that impressive for a comeback, but maybe it will come back for a second season. If so, Shaggy32 has this to say, I will definitely try out for either the mob or the one!
